Celebrate the magic of autumn at Smeaton Farm this October half-term, grab your wellies and a wheelbarrow and head down to The Cornish Fun Farm for our annual pumpkin picking event.
Perfect for families with younger children, our patch offers a wonderful, relaxed farm atmosphere where you can pick your own perfect pumpkin, explore our mini-maze with a Halloween themed quiz, and spend time with all your favourite farm animals.
What's On This Autumn?
- The Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin Patch: Wander through our patch to find the biggest, smallest, or knobs-and-all orange pumpkin to take home for carving! We have sizes and varieties to suit everyone. (Pumpkins are priced by size).
- The Spooky Mini-Maze & Halloween Quiz: Specially designed for little legs and younger children, our short maze is a delightful, non-scary adventure. Follow the twisting paths and solve the family-friendly Halloween quiz along!
- Meet the Farm Animals: All of our friendly resident farm and rare breed animals will be waiting to greet you. Come say hello to the goats, sheep, pigs, and more in their autumn coats.
- Autumn Photo Opportunities: Check out our beautifully arranged pumpkin displays, there are plenty of colourful backdrops to capture those precious family memories.
Pricing & Opening Times
Sat 3rd, Sun 4th, Sat 10th, Sun 11th, Sat 17th, Sun 18th and Sat 24th - Saturday 31st October 2026 - 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Entry is £6 per person with under 2's free.
Pumpkins charged at £1.50 munchkin, £2 small, £3 medium and £4.50 large.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this event suitable for toddlers?
Yes, absolutely! Unlike our evening Maze of Horrors, this daytime event is completely spook-free and family-friendly, making it the ideal Halloween activity for toddlers and primary school children.
Should we bring our own carving tools?
We do not allow carving on-site for safety reasons, so please leave your tools at home. Your pumpkins will be wrapped up safe and sound for you to carve together at your own kitchen table!
What should we wear?
It’s October in Cornwall, so fields can get muddy! Sturdy footwear (wellies are best!) and warm, waterproof coats are highly recommended so you can enjoy the farm comfortably.
Are dogs allowed?
Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome to join you around the farm and the patch. Please ensure you clean up after them at all times.
